Meet our returning FUSION Team and some new Faces!

Hello crafty friends! We are one week away from starting up the FUSION Challenge again! We have lots of returning faces on the design team with three "new" faces too! I am so delighted to welcome them to the team.

Without further ado...the
FUSION Design Team for 2016/2017
(in alphabetical order)

(Designer & Social Media Coordinator)

I've been crafting ever since I discovered how to attach glitter to paper! You'll frequently find me with ink all over my hands because I LOVE working with messy products - especially Ranger Distress products. I am the owner of Damsel of Distressed Cards in Grand Forks, ND and teach card making and mixed media art classes. I also design stamps for STAMPlorations. My card designs are very eclectic and my favorite way to create is by layering and incorporating mixed media.

I’m 33 years old and I started with the crafts in February 2012 and I became increasingly addicted to it, that’s my biggest hobby. Furthermore, I still love to read books and meet with friends. I live in a house with my grandma in Germany (Bayern). I'm so exciting to be a part of this DT.

Carol Mayne

Hello, I’m Carol (aka *~c*), waving from my small town at the edge of the scenic Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. My card-making journey began when I decided to make and send Happy *Month Old* cards to my niece, who was 2 ½ at the time. She’s now 6, my nephew is 4 - and yes, the monthly card ‘tradition’ continues. The ‘epic messes’ of my first attempts sent me searching the internet for ideas and WOW! Did I find them! The discoveries revealed sparked a passion, and here I am, thoroughly immersed in playing with paper, stamps, dies and ink. Of course, the friendships made through this warm, encouraging community are treasured immensely. I’m truly honoured and delighted to be joining the Fusion team. THANK YOU for this dream-come-true opportunity!

Hi, I'm Jeanne Jachna. I'm a married, stay at home mom of two young adults, and one very large Akita. I live in Northwest Indiana near Chicago.  I like to read, garden and cook but I have been completely captivated by card making and paper crafts.  I love to mix and match different pattern papers and can’t resist bright colors. My time crafting is a sweet escape and a fun way to express myself.  I’m delighted to join the Fusion Design Team and share my colorful creations with you.

(Designer & Winner Coordinator)

Hi, I'm Karren from Christchurch, New Zealand.  I've been stamping for over 14 years and got started when my mother invited me to make some Christmas cards with her one year.  I thought it was fun but wasn't bitten by the bug.  Then a couple of years later, when I was on maternity leave with my youngest, I got bored and borrowed some of her supplies.  From there my interest grew - from one tiny wee box of stamps to a whole room dedicated to stamping!  Working full-time leaves limited time to stamp, but I always try and spend a few hours on a Saturday in my craft room creating.  I'm so looking forward to another term on Fusion and working with these wonderful designers.

Hello from upstate New York in the USA!  I live in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains and taught elementary school for over 30 years.  After I retired I found that I missed a creative outlet so I began stamping.  I loved doing bulletin boards in my classroom and I look at each card as a mini bulletin board to complete.  The biggest surprise about stamping has been the amazing.....and oh so talented....people I have met in this online community. I was delighted when Lesley asked me to join the Fusion Team and I am excited to start this next chapter in my crafting journey!

Lyndal Higgins

Hi Lyndal here from Melbourne, Australia. I had been scrapbooking for a few years when in late 2011 my daughter and her friend thought they’d like to have a stall at their school fair, so I offered to make a few cards – and I was hooked! I LOVE this creative outlet and the on-line community that surrounds it. I LOVE combining challenges too, so I feel right at home with FUSION, I hope you will too!

Hello! I am SO incredibly excited and honored to be joining the Fusion Team!
Just a bit about myself....I am a married (yikes - 30 years!) mom to three amazing young adults (ages 25, 23, and 21), and live in the Rochester, NY/Finger Lakes area. I love estate sales, public markets, food, wine, cooking/baking, my three kitties and anything Mackenzie-Childs.
Although I have tried my hand at many, MANY crafty things, stamping has remained as my favorite creative outlet!
Some of my card making 'favorites' : CAS cards with lots of white space (and maybe a little something "extra"), a plethora of dies and happy colors!

Hello, all!  I am from Melbourne, Australia, where I spend most of my time teaching science, but try to find as much time as I can to make cards. I've been crafty for as long as I can remember, but only really got serious about cardmaking when I started my blog in 2011, and discovered online challenges shortly after that. I love challenging myself, and I enjoy seeing what other crafters come up with.  I am excited to be continuing with Fusion - I love this international community of crafters!

Michelle Williams

Hi, I'm Michelle from Brisbane, Australia. I started stamping in 2008 and loved it! I started enjoying it even more when I joined the blogging community at the end of 2010 and made so many wonderful crafty friends around the world! I'm a CAS stamper, often preferring one-layer cards. I just love the challenge of simplicity (not so simple at times!). I work full-time and have a hubby and two girls who keep me busy at home. Crafting is my way of relaxing. I love being a member of the Fusion DT. The team are wonderful, the inspiration photos and sketches are always fabulous, and I love seeing how everyone is inspired with each new challenge.

We will be back on Thursday, September 8th with a brand new challenge!

We are also on INSTAGRAM now...the lovely Becca is our new Social Media Coordinator and she will be posting on INSTAGRAM, sharing inspiration. You can find us on IG as @fusionchallenge

Thanks for stopping by!
